The successful candidate should have a background in organic chemistry or surface science, materials science, with a keen interest in sensors, diagnostics, surface coating and surface functionalization. The PhD project will focus on surface functionalization, surface wettability, and surface patterning with the goal to create advanced functional devices and sensors for the rapid and sensitive detection of pathogens (www.levkingroup.com).
